RodnSheet™ family of engineered plastics are unreinforced, semi-crystalline thermoplastics polyethylene terephthalate resins designed for the extrusion of semi-finished goods, such as plates, rods and bars.
These products have a very high viscosity, delivering excellent melt strength during extrusion. RodnSheet™ resins are characterized as having the best dimensional stability coupled with excellent wear resistance, a low coefficient of friction, high strength, and resistance to moderately acidic solutions.
RodnSheet™ resins properties are especially suitable for the manufacture of precision mechanical parts which are capable of sustaining high loads and enduring wear conditions.
RodnSheet™ products retain significantly more of their original strength, up to 85°C than nylon or acetal.
Additionally, RodnSheet™ resins offer good chemical and abrasion resistance. The low moisture absorption of these grades enables mechanical and electrical properties to remain virtually unaffected by moisture.
RodnSheet™ products can be machined to precise detail on standard metal working equipment.
These materials are excellent candidates for parts used in the food processing and equipment industries.
